The family and I returned from a successful trip to Beverly Beach State Park not too long ago, and I have to say I am surprised by how relatively enjoyable everything turned out for the group. Social cooperation between eleven adults went fairly smoothly and was largely drama free, though our attempt to walk to the ocean at one in the morning was like a chicken with its head cut off - we walked around in circles for a while before giving up.
The kids loved all the attention and the novelty of the yurt. Our trip during daylight to the beach was much more satisfying than the previous night's attempt, and Tanis was able to add to his arbitrarily found rock collection. I imagine there will be a repeat trip next February.
